  • VICE CHAIR

My WGR Story began almost 8 years ago, when I joined State and Federal Communications [“State and Federal”] in April of 2015. State and Federal has been a WGR Empowerment Network (WEN) member for a number of years, and through this partnership, I have had the opportunity to become involved with an organization whose mission and passion are dedicated to advancing women in the government affairs, public affairs, regulatory and advocacy professions.

My WGR journey has taken me from being a passive member, just attending a few task force meetings and events, to becoming an active member (then ascending onto the leadership team) of WGR’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Committee, of which today I am honored to serve as the Chairwoman! In addition to my role as Chair of DEI, I was also recently appointed to WGR’s Board of Directors, and I am also thrilled to serve as the Vice Chair of the upcoming 2023 WGR Professional Women in Advocacy (PWIA) Conference.

In addition to my leadership roles within WGR, I also serve on the WGR Awards Committee, and am also active in WGR’s Workplace Anti-Harassment Committee (WAHC), as well as continuing to participate in a number of WGR Task Force meetings and events. WGR has been a great addition to my life, and I only hope that I’ve given to the organization (and hope to continue to give) as much to it as it has given to me over the years – stay tuned for more!

  • My time with WGR is inextricably tied to my time and career in Washington. In one of my first roles in D.C., my predecessor encouraged me to join the organization, and since that point nearly 10 years ago, I've found a wonderful community of support, guidance, and immense personal and professional growth. In every role that I've held at WGR, I've been challenged to be the best version of myself on behalf of the organization; I wouldn't be in the position I am today without this network of fantastic women.

I’ve been a WGR member for nearly a decade. When I joined WGR, I wasn’t sure if government relations was my true passion or calling. I mainly joined the organization for the professional development programming opportunities. Fast forward to current day - I’m a member of the WGR Board of Directors and a seasoned government relations professional! Through WGR, I have learned a lot, developed friendships and a network of inspirational super women!

  • My career in government relations began on the 2020 campaign trail, which led to me working in the New York State Senate. I have since relocated to Washington, DC to pursue federal advocacy with Girls Inc. This is my first year as a member of WGR, and already I am so inspired and encouraged by the community of women and their expertise, perspectives, and ideas. As a member of the Professional Women in Advocacy Conference Planning Committee, I am excited to participate in the conference planning. WGR offers me the opportunity to continue to grow as a professional, and I look forward to expanding my network, policy knowledge and leadership skills.

  • My first introduction into Women in Government Relations began when I was selected to be a 2020 Judy Schneider Fellow. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the experience. Immediately I felt welcomed and encouraged by WGR members and staff especially during a time of so much uncertainty. Over the past 4 years I found a community and network of strong women who support and guide me both personally and professionally. I enjoy serving on the Professional Women in Advocacy Conference Committee because it allows me to combine my passion of advocacy and women’s professional development to help provide and facilitate such a powerful conference for professionals at all levels.

  • My WGR story began when I came to Washington, DC for a job on Capitol Hill and soon after joined WGR. It provided me a home to grow as a professional allowing me to find my voice while learning from vastly different highly accomplished government affairs professionals. WGR was the place I could go to find the encouragement I needed to pursue my professional goals and more importantly a place to build lasting friendships. I am excited that my WGR story continues with a leadership role where I can make a stronger impact empowering female leaders all while still continuing my professional development.
